TOKYO AIRPORT '30s
The airport of Tokyo is located at Tachikawa, covers an area of 1.500.000 sqm and is 85m above sea-level. It has two landing strips;
East-West is 1.300m, South-North is 1.250m. Its civilian hangars cover about 1.650sqm and can provide simple maintenance, refueling and spare parts. Telephone, telegraph and radio services are also available.
The Tokyo airport is also the base of the 5th Shotai of the Army airforce which provides weather observation services. The army hospital is always ready in case of emergency.
Furthermore, customs and a quarantine station are also available on request.

OSAKA AIRPORT '30s The airport of Osaka is able to operate both land based and water based aircraft. It has two land based landing strips, East-West is 720m, South-North is 400m.
For water landing aircraft, a water area outside Osaka harbor is reserved. Total area of the airport is 330.000 sqm. Of them, the hangars cover 990 sqm and can provide simple maintenance, refueling and spare parts.
Finally, the airport has an aviation beacon.
