A Navy Type 14-3 Reconnaissance Seaplane, Yokosho E1Y3. It has a four blade propeller and a 450hp Lorraine 3 engine. This particular seaplane was carried on board the battleship "KONGO" as the Kana read on the tail and fuselage. Check the colorized photo at the following link:

Interestingly the colorized photo shows the tail in black. Not red. So we can say that the tail is black, the marking on the fuselage too, and the fuselage band is red. Notice also that in the colorized photo the floats are painted red-brown and that the float bands are black. Overall color is gray.

An early Type 90 Crew Trainer - Mitsubishi K3M "Pine", a type that was used until the end of WWII. Originally it was designated 4MS and had a water cooled Type "HI" V 300hp engine. But due to excessive vibration, from the 5th plane the engine was changed to an air cooled Type 90 Gasuden "Tempu" 300hp.

Below: A Nakajima Navy Type 3 Carrier Fighter A1N2. A type based on the Gloster Gamecock Gamber. The A2N1 had an air-cooled 420hp Jupiter VI, the A2N2 was equipped with a 460hp Kotobuki engine. A very successful fighter, saw major action during the Shanghai Incident. This particular airplane belongs to the Yokosuka Kokutai.
