Comments: The "third book" after the "Japanese Naval Aces" and the
"Army Aces" this one written only by Dr. Izawa (he is an ophthalmologist). The book deals with the history of the heavy bomber
units of the IJA, from their beginning until the end of WWII. It is different from the other two books in many respects. No
tables of unit histories or "ace" biographies; everything is integrated in the rich Japanese text. A very interesting book
on a largely unknown subject with many never seen before photos. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED especially to researchers/historians
with some knowledge of Japanese language.
