1/72 Scale Injection-Moulded Kits When these new kits were first released by Aoshimain the 1990's many people avoided them like the plague, the rather dubious "quality" of their old toy kits has really made a mark on many modelers around the world. But these new kits of the Shiden and Shiden-Kai are easily on a par with the kits we've come to expect from Tamiya and Hasegawa, in terms of level of detail, fit and accuracy. Especially the Shiden-Kai kits are simply excellent, with superb fit and very nice detail throughout. The decal sheets are also very interesting, as they almost always include markings for versions not shown in the instructions, sometimes for completely different types. For example, kit No. 016350 contains "Tokyo Rose", a marking applied by Australian forces to a Ki-21 II koh after it was surrendered to them! Please note that not all of the listed Aoshima kits are always available in Japan, especially Kits no. 016343 / 016350 / 018125 / 018460 are hard to find since these are special editions of the "regular" versions.
